Very informative. Read it and find out how google is not the benevolent company that we have come to trust but an organization that in trade for our searches it sells and uses our data to increase profits.

This book was just good enough to keep reading, but at many times I thought about putting it down for good. The author has a difficult time writing a coherent piece of work, and goes on tangent after tangent with the loosely related idea that he is talking about google and how google operates in it's different endeavors. The ending is horribly vague, speculative pie in the sky thinking which was likely intended to inspire, but misses the boat completely.

For those concerned about online privacy and web search customization, and the way companies like Google manipulate and use your information, this is a must read by a very good author.

Introduced to this in Coursera MOOC (Understanding the Media by Understanding Google") and found it as essential as the Surgeon Generals warning about smoking

After having been to Siva's talk at Harvard University, I bought and read the book. It covers some interesting points which made sense to me but have not thought about them before. How marketing concept has changed with "Google", how we are NOT memorizing things anymore and how we are NOT forgetting things anymore with the presence of Google. Also covered are the circumstances that made the birth of Google easy and the political and social issues surrounding Google.I got the feeling that I should have been given certain amount of Google shares since the company successfully used and sold each individual's marketing profile. :)

With exception of the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer, this is the most useful item I have purchased on Amazon. Meticulously researched, well written and insightful! It does not, however, slice bananas well at all.

The table of contents and more importantly the introduction is missing many pages. Seems like it would be a cool read but the publisher really dropped the ball. Many body of text seems intact.

this is a must read if you want to understand politics, politicians and balance of power..

I gave this to my grandson who is an avid reader. Much of this advice fits in the contemporary, political world.

I very good read, classic literature that is very relevant in political thought today. A must read for every library.

This book is such a cool way for kids to learn about the Human body. We love that you get a true 'inside-out' view of every body part. This has been so good for my home school library stash. This type of book keeps your child engaged. Looking forward to purchasing other titles. Perfect for the holidays or birthdays.

SO interesting! My little 8 year old biologist is taken with this book which allows him to explore his young understand of the human bosy and how it works. Strongly recommend!

I have read a few books now in this series and they are excellent.The facts are great, the images and illustrations are spot on and they are a fun and enjoyable learning resource - 5 stars
