An amazing book! I am fifteen and I out of all the saint books I read, this is by far the best. Unlike most other books on the saints this one was written by another saint, (John Bosco) who was his spiritual director. John Bosco wrote this book for his boys to read and as a result it is really easy and pleasant to read and understand. It really is a shame that so few young people today know about it.
I heard about this Saint through another friend of mine, and after reading a little about him, I was deeply moved and inspired. Imagine a child who dies at the age of 14, but throughout his short life, have been kind, loving, pious and faithful, only increasingly so as he nears his death. Absolutely a true inspiration to not only youngsters, but to adults as well. I would really recommend this book to parents who want their children to be more aware of their Catholic faith, and to everyone else who thinks that it is not possible to be holy and pious at such a young age. St Dominic Savio was small in size and young in age, but has a soul and mind of a very matured adult, even more mature than most adults I know! This young lad has made me look at myself, and say: 'its time to change'.Sancte Dominici, ora pro nobis!
