For me, this book has helped me a lot. It has totally opened my eyes and given me clarity to why I have some of the feeling that I have. I have been in recovery for 8 years and while I don't struggle anymore with any cravings to drink, I still have problems with my feelings getting hurt and taking things personally. I am very much into working a 12-step program and going to a therapist but until I read this book and read his explanations about why I might be experiencing these feelings, I just didn't know!For me, this book has made all of the difference in the world and have provided me with peace and serenity because I am now aware of why I go through these feelings and I can actively work on issues as they come up using this book as a guide. I have to admit, that when I first started reading his explanations about differentiation, I didn't quite understand it and had to re-read it and I still wasn't quite bought into his ideas. As I got further into the book, it really started to come together. Chapter 3, "Stop Taking Things Personally" was the clincher and made me a believer in this man and his book. I have to admit that I have not finished the book as I don't have a lot of time to read, but I will continue to read it until the end as there is no telling what other great information I will get from this book.So far, what I have read makes me very happy with my purchase.

I am a recovering alcoholic with less than two years of sobriety. This book has opened my eyes to a number of concepts which give me great hope. I now understand that many of my so called problems are really products of my own emotional immaturity. We create a "false self" that keeps us from experiencing the joys & struggles of life. The author introduces some practical self assessments that reveal why we react rather than respond in relationships. I am grateful to Allen Berger for sharing his struggles and discoveries in his own recovery. This book will help anyone who is willing to pursue the great adventure of discovering their emotional serenity.

In no uncertain terms this was and is the best “user’s guide” to processing and redirecting your character defects (emotionally based) that I have come across. Simple, insightful, relatable. Like all books of this type, you must read and APPLY the techniques. That said, once I started using each practical tool and concept, chapter by chapter (12, but of course), my perspective, habits, and emotional responses changed as well. And continue to evolve. I gave a copy to my sponsor, one to my psych and one to a like-minded friend. They are in total agreement with its value and use it/reco it to people who they are helping. Does buying 4 copies constitute a ringing endorsement? And then some.The author is knowledgeable, but, better yet, is a 30-year recovering friend of Bill W. who regularly imparts Big Book lingo into his paragraphs. Not direct quotes, you will pick up on them immediately. You will here the Steps, Preamble and How It Works throughout and smile when you do. I have not been so enthused by a self-help work in my life. Personally: down 60lbs in 95 days; becoming emotionally sober; and, able to understand and process my emotions and life view into healthy perspective.Buy it. Use it. Win with it.

I love this book, and I have probably read it 8 times and will probably read it 8 more times minimum. You don't need to be an alcoholic or a drug addict to benefit from these skills for becoming emotionally sober or as I would tag it, spiritually mature!! There is SO much here to help anyone learn to look at life and situations from a more freeing perspective. I can't say enough about this book! One of my all time biggest blessings!!

I have been in recovery for 28 years and am very familiar with Bill Wilson's letter on Emotional Sobriety. I have been reading and studying this piece of writing in an attempt to have my deeper rooted character defects "cast out" as the 12-step process had done with my alcoholism in my early sobriety. It wasn't until I read Dr. Berger's book that not only was I able to identify more fully with Bill's dilemma (one unhealthily dependent person to another unhealthily dependent person), but was provided with awareness and concrete direction as to what I could do about it! Truth is, I sat down to read a few chapters and had a powerful awakening to my problem and its solution... I could not put this book down until I was finished. Dr. Berger spoke to my dis-ease and my emotional recovery. I highly recommend this book for anyone struggling for lasting inner peace.

Great small book with many helpful points and good examples. I would give it 5/5 stars but by the middle of the book the author gets a bit repetitive and long-winded.

An absolute MUST-READ for anyone in recovery of any kind. I absolutely love it and need it. Thank you, Dr. Berger!

Eat healthily and enjoy life, 3. Trading is easy, 4. Actually trading is hard and 90% of people fail at it, 5. Don't trade to make money but trade to be a good person, 6. Be truthful to yourself (what?)The 'book' is lazy, typo ridden (on every other page) and far from insightful. Moreover, the author spends 10% of the 'book' trying to sell you his online courses, culminating in him asking for good reviews on amazon.com!! (Which perhaps is why there are so many 5 stars - I'm baffled)

Scam. Book is the size of a pamphlet with constant repeated information. Stay away.

Useless, just like his course he is trying to make money of.

This is the second book I've read from this author and both were well written, brief and concise - my kind of read. He has a knack for making the complex understandable and offers a lot of tips and details on what your getting into. You may also want to check-out his YouTube videos, same kind of deal. I'll be ordering his other books.

My takeaway from Matt Kratter's book is: making money trading is simple, but it is not easy! There are rules and discipline and the market is not a benevolent being. It will call you out if you stray.The chapter on trading psychology is extremely important. My reading has focused here in the last several months. Even if the rules and discipline are in place, you'll suffer as a trader if your mindset is not aligned. My trading has drastically improved since I brought my mindset aboard.I see this new book as a package, together with his other books, not for beginners, but for those who have really put in the time and effort to learn and improve their trading performance. I have read hundreds of books on trading and always turn back to reread Matt Kratter's for the clarity and simplicity of individual aspects of trading.This new book spurs me to reflect on my journey in putting all the pieces together and points out a few more places where I can put my effort to become truly successful at trading.

Overall i enjoyed this book. It is very short, but that means that I can re-read it periodically whenever I am feeling discouraged about a bad streak. For experienced traders there will now be a ton of new information, but for the rookie trader willing to learn, it has some pearls of wisdom. The only real critique I would have is that some of the information is a bit simplistic, such as the advice to trade to become a better person. I agree that money should not be your only motivation to trade, but I would argue that character development is only one side of the equation. Overall, a great read and a great value!

I don’t write many reviews, but I believe this books deserves 5 stars. I’ve read many books over the years and I have my own believes. I read new books just for knowledge. This books condensed all the right things and is to the point. After my years of experience if I had to recommend on how to trade it would be everything in this book.

I have several of Matthew Kratter's books (some freebies, some paid) and I absolutely LOVE the fact that I can read one of his books in a short time and feel like I know what to do - just a bit of practice is needed. He gives me what I nee to know without all the fluff in most other books.This book, while not as focused as his others, demonstrates that Matthew has "been there" and "done that". Since I started reading his books (and some others, too), I have been increasingly successful at trading.. Coincidence?. I doubt it... Thank you, Matthew, for sharing your experience with the rest of us in such an affordable way... Solid gold...

Hello,I am writing this review because I needed this book for a class. Instead of paying the full almost $300 cost for the textbook, I bought the kindle version for less than $80.I am off to print the pages now, so I can work through the material on paper. Although, the kindle version does allow you to put notes and flash cards in the section. The textbook itself has fill in the blanks and crosswords that would be better for pen and paper.Thank you,Richard

I needed this book for school. Shows all the abbreviations for what will be found on blue prints. Only problem I had was there was no answer key in the book so there was no way for me to double check my work before class. There's a lot to learn from the book.

Required for the program i am in. There are a lot of mistakes, the work book questions are very vague and can be hard to understand. The textbook is well laid out and organized but needs further editing.

Lots of blueprints to practice on. If are not in class learning blueprint or you are not good in math then it will be hard to understand and follow because it mostly just has the blueprints to practice on.

But he ends up saving her. This is their story about how they need each other and all the things that try to stop them from being together. In the end they find a way to be together, but could it be at the cost of a thousand other lives? The author does throw in a really cool twist to the story. But you just need to read the story to find out.

So many stars, dang Ditter Kellen rocks this series. I am a huge sci-fi fan and this is so damn good. Sci-fi book crack for sure, I could not put it down and...I am on the 4th book now....yeah, it’s that damn good. This book starts out when Abbie is seven and has just lost her mom, she runs off and dives into the ocean to swim when the waves bring her under. She is saved by a 14 year old boy, that leaves right after, back into the water.Fast forward 25 years and it’s Abbie’s turn to save the man that saved her as a child. Hauke and some of his people were in an explosion and now he is being held in her dads lab, getting prepared to be transported to Area 51. Abbie incorporates the help of her ex-CIA uncle, thankfully, because he’s kind of a badass. These two are the most wanted people in America throughout this book. A bacterial infection breaks out, when the CDC tries to get it under control, they make it a hell of a lot worse. Obviously they are blaming Hauke’s people for it in a big cover up.This book was fast paced, they are on the run trying to get to a safe place to save them both. So much happens and you won’t be able to put it down. This was a safe read, they did meet as children, but obviously never dated. No ow drama, tiny bit of om, not really drama per say, but Hauke can see her memories and one of her besties is also her ex. Hauke is a sweet, thoughtful and fiercely protective alpha and Abbie is definitely his soulmate. These two have a major mind and body connection and I loved it. These two were sexy af with a ton of baby batter. This book is a stand-alone for the couple, but the bigger story does go on through the books, because big stuff is going on. Absolutely floved, floved, floved, floved this book. Like I said, I am already on the 4th book of the series. Thank you Ditter Kellen for writing such wonderful book crack😍. New sci-fi author to follow...you are welcome.

This is a complicated story. There's a whole world down below the Gulf of Mexico that the humans are unaware of. Hauke saves Abbie's life when she is young and she ends up returning the favor several years later. This causes them to be hunted since the government didn't like losing their Alien specimen. This story has such sweet romantic love and forces from both worlds against them. This book is definitely worth reading. I recommend it and look forward to reading the next one. Enjoy! 😀

The plot for What Lies Beneath intrigued me. Unfortunately, the story fell flat. The characters felt underdeveloped and were inconsistent. Actions and reactions didn't always follow a logical progression. Makes it hard for a reader to root for the hero or heroine when the characters don't give a relatable reason to. (Dr. Abbigail Sutherland's reaction to her father in the initial scene. The father's reaction toward his daughter. The reaction of the uncle after years of no contact and then continued reactions.) I love sci-fi and am willing to suspend my belief system pretty easily, but I need just enough realism in a story to keep the idea in the "this is possible" category.The author has great potential though, and I'd give Ms. Kellen's work another chance. This book just wasn't for me.

I loved this paranormal romance. From the beginning, it drew me in wanting to find out more about the boy who saved Abbie from drowning. Who’s this boy and what was he. I found myself intrigued by the world beneath the sea the author created. I felt Hauke, this non-human male of compassion and strength knew how to treat his woman with love and care. What woman doesn’t want a male like that? I enjoyed seeing Abbie as a strong-willed woman who knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go with her feelings. Ditter Kellen’s characters are well developed and are very much alive on the pages of her book. I look forward to reading the next in this series.

Abbie's mother died of cancer when Abbie was 7 yrs. Old , her mother had spoken of the sea so Abbie had run to the sea out of grief after the funeral . She ran into the water and was drowning when a boy with the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen saved her. 25 years later her father and her was having dinner when he got a call to come back to his lab. Annie knew something was up. She followed him to the lab with his dinner he had forgotten . When she got there he was standing in front of a table with someone on it. She saw that it wasn't human but actually recognized this as being the person that saved here all those years ago. Her father and the people he worked for weren't always on the right side of how they did things. It ended up Abbie saving Hauke a being that lived below the ocean they were called Bracadyte and their home world was Aukrabah. Read this the first book of a 9 book series. I am looking forward to reading this series.

i don't read sci-fi romance novels, but i was looking for something new and this one (enigma) was free, so i thought what the heck. i must say i am very pleasantly surprised!! i think maybe because it's completely wrapped into a modern intrigue type romance- they have to fight the corrupt government as well as prejudices from their family and friends- it was actually really good!! I immediately bought the rest of the series, not all are as good as this one, but i highly recommend, not only enigma, but the entire series!!

This is a really fun read for kids interested in how the Disney company got to where it is today. Kids can just read the main story, but if they want to dive deeper, there are "fun facts" in boxes scattered throughout. In addition, the author intersperses business concepts throughout in separate callouts. Elementary readers may not care about what "going public" is or what a CEO does, but for more involved readers, they can learn a lot about business as they go along. Add a bunch of great drawings throughout, and it's both a fun and educational read for kids.It's important to note this is NOT a Disney World guide or a biography of Walt Disney the man. Instead, it's the story of the Disney company (starting, of course, with Walt, but then moving throughout the entire history of the company).Overall highly recommended for kids 8-12.

We bought this immediately after finishing the”Nike” book by same author — we loved this one too! My kids couldn’t wait to read this. Just like the “Nike” book, the author made this business story extremely accessible and fun to read. We’ve never seen anything like this. Super book!

I thought this was a great way to start to introduce some business knowledge to my kids. The topic was fun and engaging. My child liked to tell me the fun facts along the way! This is a great book and so glad we have this resource available to us!

This is such an interesting book written for the Junior High audience. It covers two topics: 1. A biography of Walt Disney and 2. A book on business.The Bio part covers one of the most interesting and innovative men of our times, Walt Disney. His childhood, his dreams and the fruition of his visions.The business study shows how he developed his thoughts in the empire that is Disney. Even after his death his ideas continued to grow via Michael Eisner and Bob Iger.Throughout the book are sidebars that give definitions of topics being addressed plus there is a continuing box of Walt Disney’s quotations that are very motivational to young readers. This is a good book to give to your young ones with hopes, aspirations and goals. It proves to them that, as Walt Disney himself said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them”.

I love these books. They only have a word or two on each page but the pictures are delightful. We have been practicing making noises with Sherlock Holmes. It’s really fun making the word “Rustle” sound like leaves rustling or the word “Howl” sound like dogs howling. Our son is 2 and this is our go to bedtime book.Honestly, these are amazing baby gifts. Do you have a friend who loves Jane Austen? Sherlock Holmes? Ballet? Pick up one of these books.

Baby lit books are our all time favorite books! They are small books, but that does not underestimate the goodness inside. We have ordered just about all of the baby lit books and love to swap them out during seasons and holidays. I also love that they have different primers and different types of learning for your little one. These books are great gift ideas, there are a lot of genres to choose from. The artwork and colors are bright and vivid, very pleasant to look at. The mommy and the teacher in me loves and approves these books!

Fair warning - your children aren't going to start deducing solutions to the world's woes. This is a simple book with one word per page. Just teaching fun sounds with creative illustration. My 18 month old son is obsessed with this book, so that's 5 stars from him. The book is sturdy and fun, so that's 5 stars from me!

This is my son's favorite BabyLit book. We have been reading it since he was tiny and he loves to make the sounds along with us and could "read" it himself when he was about a year and a half old. This copy was purchased for a friend because we love these books so much. I can't recommend them enough!

Disclaimer: this is my personal preference because I love all things aquatic. This Sherlock Holmes book just is not as pretty or interesting (even to my 10 month old) as the Moby Dick BabyLit Primer. I really wanted to love this one as much, but the colors don't "pop" and the descriptive words seem a bit off with regards to the picture. It's still a unique picture book that we look at frequently, but just not a favorite like Moby Dick.

This book was a gift for my infant daughter, and it has been her favorite her whole life. She's two now, and she can read it herself. I started reading it to her when we got it by just making the noises as dramatically as possible and now she does it for herself. So so fun and cute. The artwork is amazing, and even though there's not a lot of content per say, it's enough content for a person who's going to hop off your lap every 20 seconds to run off for something else. They're really beautiful books. We have 5 or six of them and love them all.

GREAT sounds primer! My husband and I love reading this with our baby (we love all of the BabyLit books). He's 15 months and will bring the book to us and sit in our lap to hear it. What I especially love is that each page is a different sound (connected to the Sherlock story-- "Hounds howl, boots scratch" etc. etc.), and he has come to anticipate each sound, saying them aloud with us as we go (his "howl" is adorable, if I do say so myself). This book is precious and very sturdy, withstanding tosses and drops like a champ.

My 17 month daughters have been reading it for the last two months and LOVE this book. I am not sure what they see in this book which has a pretty dark background but they are in love with this book and prefer it over ask their other 20 odd books.

Even though this was easy to read, there were NO picture examples of what to do, placement you will have to guess what the artist means. No pictures of the tools or examples or paper. The only reason I am not asking for a refund, is I am an experienced crafter and will be buying other books and had some of the tools on hand, to figure out which was for which. What few pictures there were, only one was helpful, even if it was super tiny. You might want to mention if you are a visual learner, this is for sure, NOT for you!

I got this for a friend who is just starting out with quilling - thus why I bought this book. It isn't bad, but there aren't many pictures and the writing is a little drawn out. The book is also in black/white, which is fine. It is also really small, but that isn't an issue at all. I'd keep it and refer to it, but maybe look for an actual project book with pictures to get an easier idea of what you are doing if you are starting off.

The only thing I liked the most was the time the package arrived...Arrived quickly but it's a waste of money...no pictures...only a few techniques mentioned (basic ones)...
